Dr. Yutaka Saito

Dr. Yutaka Saito is the Director of the Endoscopy Division at the National Cancer Center Hospital, Tokyo, Japan. He also has served as an attending associate Professor of Gastroenterology at Tokyo Medical University since July 2008.
Dr. Saito is licensed as a Board certified fellow of the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology, the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society, the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine and the Japanese Gastroenterological Association and fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
He is also certified as a Foreign Trainee Doctor Clinical Instructor and has served as one of the Editors of the World Journal of Gastroenterology since 2007 in addition to being a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Saito has been invited to perform as a faculty member and live demonstrator in numerous countries. He was honored for an invited professor at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota and Jacksonville, Florida in 2010. He was also commended for Basil Hirschowitz Master Endoscopist Award for advancing the art and science of endoscopy throughout the world in 2013 and Certificate of appreciation of Outstanding Reviewer for GIE: Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 2015-2016.
He is now one of the members of International Editorial Board of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
He has a wide spectrum of research exposure and interests including 1. Chromo-magnification Colonoscopy; 2. Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection for early gastrointestinal cancer and 3. Colon capsule endoscopy

Dr. Shigetaka Yoshinaga
Dr. Shigetaka Yoshinaga, MD, PhD. graduated from Kagoshima University in 1997. He completed his short-term training at Gastroenterology in Saku Central Hospital, Endoscopy Division in National Cancer Center Hospital and Gastroenterology in Aichi Cancer Center Hospital from 2006 to 2007. He is a medical staff of Endoscopy Division in National Cancer Center Hospital since 2008.
Dr. Yoshinaga specializes in the endoscopic diagnosis of upper gastrointestinal tumors using image enhanced endoscopy, magnified endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound(EUS). Especially, he performs more than 500 EUS cases per year including EUS-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) for pancreatic lesions as well as gastrointestinal lesions. In addition, he performs advanced endoscopic therapies including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for early esophageal and gastric cancers. His role involves managing patients both in out-patients’ and in-patients’ settings and being an attending doctor performing many procedures.
Dr. Yoshinaga is also an international educator in advanced endoscopy. He teaches advanced endoscopic techniques not only to Japanese endoscopy trainees but also to overseas endoscopists through international hands-on trainings and live demonstrations. In addition, he is a modulator when international conferences and live-demonstrations are held on internet.
